To encounter God is to find truth, meaning and freedom. St Mary’s Church fellowship exists because all of that is possible.
Led by God`s Holy Spirit and guided by his words in the Bible - we worship and follow his Son, Jesus Christ who has opened up the way back to God.
Located in the heart of 21st century Luton, we can be inspired by the beauty of our 850 year old building. We can enjoy being part of the worldwide Anglican Church and the evangelical and charismatic Christian traditions which shape us. But what really matters is being people together on the journey of faith. Where God leads - we want to follow.
All involved
The Bible teaches that every Christian is gifted by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to play their vital role in his world. Our commitment is to help every one of our members to find and develop their gifts to serve God and to serve others.
Becoming Disciples
The truth God reveals through his Bible is to be applied in every day lives. Jesus calls us to be disciples - to ‘walk the talk’. Our faith has to make a real difference.
Creating Community
Jesus formed a radical community of followers. Members of St Mary’s aim to build relationships of depth, integrity and genuine care with each other and with others.
Doing Evangelism
Jesus calls all his followers to share in God’s mission to the world. We want to help our members take practical steps to share the story of what God has done in their lives with their networks of family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.
Encountering God
All else rests on this foundation. Creating the space and the opportunity for encounter with God through His Son Jesus Christ, by the power of His Holy Spirit, is what gives our life together purpose. We want to turn back to God and allow him to transform us into the people we are created to be.
