Welcome to St Mary's Luton
Welcome to our website, here's a little bit about who we are.
St Mary's is a vibrant town centre church and we seek to love God and follow Christ whilst loving and serving the people of Luton. Our style of worship is relaxed and our church family has a mix of all ages and backgrounds. Luton is a very diverse town and at St. Mary's we feel privileged to worship and serve together as part of God's amazing worldwide family.
Our Sunday services reflect the diversity of our family: -
- Our 8am service is a contemplative, spoken Common Worship service. It meets in the Wenlock Chapel and lasts around 45 mins. It is a wonderful opportunity to encounter God in liturgy, sacrament and stillness in the surroundings of a beautiful and historic building.
- Our 10am service includes more contemporary worship, bible based teaching and we always leave room to pray for healing and blessing for individuals at the end of the service. At the 10am service we also have our children's and youth program and afterwards there is tea and coffee and a chance to catch up with friends .
On the first Sunday of the month at 10am we do things a bit differently and meet all together for our high energy and fun all age service.
- Church at Seven.. is our new Cafe style evening service (at 7pm of course!). Church at Seven meets in the Wenlock Chapel on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month. We aim to build community (usually around some food), spend a good period of time worshipping God and explore what the bible teaches about relevant issues. We also leave time and space to pray for each other for healing, refreshing or equipping.
St Mary's church has been in Luton for over nine hundred years and, whilst our style is mainly contemporary, we worship in an incredibly beautiful building. Together we seek to serve the town and live out our vision of Loving God, Loving Luton and Following Christ.
