Thurs 1st  Please pray for the Welcome Thursday team as they open up the church each week and for Impact one of our youth groups that meets each Thursday.

Fri 2nd Adam is our youth leader. Please pray from him as he leads the youth team of volunteers and the youth of our church. Pray for the Lord’s wisdom and strength in this role.

Sat 3rd Students at the University of Bedfordshire will have started their new year in Luton. Pray that they’ll settle well into their courses and that the links with St Mary’s and the university will be strengthened as we’re such close neighbours.

Sun 4th   This Sunday is our All Age service. Pray that all will be United in worshiping our Lord regardless of which phase of life we may find ourselves in.

Mon 5th.  Today we’re due to have Riverbank Primary School visiting St Mary’s. Please pray that children and staff will be blessed by their experience here and the encounter with Andy Fisher and team.

Tues 6th Our Maintenance Team consisting of Alan, Glenn and Geoff will be at church attending to ongoing necessary tasks for the upkeep of the building. Please give thanks for their faithfulness and skills.

Wed 7th Ulrike and Kristina work for the Feast in Luton to enable young people to treat each other with respect and listen to their point of view regardless of faith, ethnicity or background. Please pray for them as they carry out these reconciliatory roles in our town.

Thurs 8th. The Friends of St Mary’s raise vital funds to help with the upkeep of our beautiful building. Please pray for their meeting today that their discussions will go well.

Fri 9th  Today the men of St Mary’s go away together for a weekend of walking, cycling, fun and fellowship together. Please pray for their protection and a growing of friendships.

Sat 10th Today the Luton Community Chaplaincy and The Feast are joining together for a training day. Pray that all will go well and much fruit will come out of this partnership.

Sun 11th We have several cultural ambassadors at St Mary’s representing many cultures. Please pray that they would be a welcoming presence to those who come from those cultures enabling them to feel at home.

Mon 12th Riverbank Primary School are visiting St Mary’s again today. Continue to pray for the children, staff and team at St Mary’s who will be welcoming then.

Tues 13th Please pray for our ordination students Julie, Chuckwuma and Ijay as they go through this process at St Mary’s and for Mike as he mentors them, that they’ll all have a good working relationship and a positive pathway for their journey ahead.

Wed 14th Pray for more volunteers to step forward and serve at St Mary’s. There are many areas to be blessed and be a blessing in e.g. refreshments, welcome, chalice, buildings team to name a few. If you become more interested as you pray, please ask for further details.

Thurs 15th Please pray for the plans for the development of the back of church. Thank God for the team working to see this through and pray for the funding to be available to enable us to have a building that serves the needs of those who use it.

Fri 16th We’re able to see the development of the stadium for the Luton Town Football Club (LTFC)taking place across the road from us. Please pray for a safe construction being delivered on time and for continued good relations between LTFC and all at Mary’s.

Sat 17th Please pray for wisdom, strength and discernment for Mike, Jay, Andy and Chris as they lead us and minister to us.

Sun 18th This week we celebrate Harvest and thank God for all His bountiful provision. Please also pray for the Shona Service held today on the third Sunday of the month.

Mon 19th For those who’ve signed up, today is the beginning of Retreat In Daily Life. An opportunity to go deeper with God. Let’s pray that many will indeed grow closer to Him.

Tues 20th  Please pray for Wenlock School that often hold services at St Mary’s. Pray for a strengthening of our existing connections and all the pupils and staff.

Wed 21st We open our doors for Welcome Wednesday to be held from 10.30-1.30pm. Thank God for the fruit of this ministry we have seen in the positive changes in people's lives.

Thurs 22nd Today we have Welcome Thursday which has only started in the last few months. Please pray the Lord will use the opening of our building on this day to continue to bless the people of our town.

Fri 23rd Pray a blessing over the whole of our town and the people who live in it. May we see a change in the lives of those around us for good.

Sat 24th A reminder the clocks go back one hour tonight giving us opportunity for God given rest as well as more time for thanks and praise 

Sun 25th We’ll have the opportunity to study Luke in groups today. Pray that all will engage and be blessed by drawing closer to God and closer to each other.

Mon 26th Music on Monday is held at St Mary’s today. Pray that all will go well and thank God for this regular hiring of our beautiful building.

Tues 27th Give thanks for the Lord’s provision of funds to boost our finances and for our Treasurer Andrew Rodell and for John Mascoll who counts and banks the offerings given each week.

Wed 28th Bethany our cleaner is expecting her second child in December. Please pray for a continued healthy pregnancy and safe delivery of this new addition to the Whiting family.

Thurs 29th Jay is our new curate who will soon be moving to live in Luton.  Pray for an easy stress free move and that her and her husband Chris will settle into their new home quickly.

Fri 30th We are blessed with many parents and young children in our crèche each Sunday. Give thanks and pray that each child will come to know Jesus for themselves.

Sat 31st There is a Red Events Concert being held at St Mary’s today. Please pray for a successful event and thank God for the essential income we receive from hiring out our building.
