As a church family, we believe it is really important to pray about everything that we do at St Mary’s.

Use this prayer diary as a way of direction in your daily prayer.

Pray with us

April 2026

Wed 1st At the start of this month  we pray for our relationships with our neighbours in Luton – Luton Borough Council, Luton Town Football Club and the University of Bedfordshire. Pray that we will continue to work well together making Luton a great place to live and work.

Thurs 2nd Today is Maundy Thursday and tonight we are remembering back to the Last Supper and when Jesus washed the disciples feet. Meditate on the events leading up to the Crucifixion. Please sign up if you’d like to be part of this evening.

Fri 3rd Good Friday Today we join with other Christians in Luton for the March of Witness through the town and the Planting of the Cross.  Pray that our witness will cause people to be curious about the Easter Story.

Sat 4th Use this day to quietly ponder the events of the first Easter. Give thanks for Jesus, for His obedience to go to the cross for each one of us and for the forgiveness we now have in Him.

Sun 5th Easter Sunday! Christ is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Come to join others from St Mary’s at 6am for the Sunrise Service or 10am Service for our Easter Communion. Be prepared to explain what Easter means for you - to a family member, a friend or neighbour!

Mon 6th Pray for our families on this Bank Holiday. There are so many pressures on families – may this be a day of rest and fun together.
